GD Goenka Public School, Sec-9, Rohini organized the ‘Graduation Day’ ceremony for the young Goenkans of Pre-Primary and Pre-School on 18th March 2019. Various events took place on the stage revealing the world of GD Goenka. It talked about the learning method adopted by the school, bonding between kids and their peer groups and various other co-curricular activities. Children danced and acted based on the theme of greeting each other, healthy and junk food and good habits and manners that one should develop from the young age. The ceremony culminated with the distribution of certificates, gowns and caps to the tiny tots by the Principal Dr. Shipra Kumar and the Academic Coordinator Ms. Monika Kumar.
Introducing students to aptitude tests helps to develop critical thinking and broaden their understanding of dependencies amongst subjects. GD Goenka Public School, Sector-9, Rohini, in association with The Times NIE program conducted ‘School Super League 2018’. These simple tests covered a range of parameters such as verbal, numerical ability, mechanical reasoning, abstract and special reasoning to name a few. The school congratulates Harsh Jain of class VIII and Arzoo Jindal of class VI on coming out victorious as school toppers and winning a Tablet for their accolade.
The philosophy of education that provides the foundation for formulation of teaching-learning activities and programmes. School has designed library activities to promote innovative curriculum programmes to sustain success and attain breakthrough performance in nurturing future ready citizens.
Moral stories like "The Foolish Lion and Rabbit" were taken up by the students of Class II. They presented the entire story by using wonderful hand puppets. This story telling was purely based on the perceptive of providing holistic education to the students through hands on experience.

GD Goenka Public School, Sector-9, Rohini witnessed an enthralling ‘Book Week’ from 28 January 2019 to 2 February 2019. Many competitions like Book Cover Design and Poster making competition were conducted for the students from class III to VIII. A cartoon-making workshop was also conducted followed by comic strip making, to grab the attention of the students towards the diverse genres of books. Students open-heartedly welcomed the Scholastic Book-fair which was organized throughout the book week. The book week ended with an opportunity of lucky draw for the students who bought books from the fair.

Matching the energy of the Sun, on 9 February 2019, GD Goenka Public School Sec-9, Rohini, conducted its Junior Sports Day, ‘Urjja: the Energy’. The event was graced by our dignitary, honorable Chairperson, Ms. Anita Rana, Principal, Dr. Shipra Kumar, Academic Coordinator, Ms. Monica Kumar and revered chief guest PadmaShri Shri Yogeshwar Dutt ji accompanied by his coach Dronacharya Awardee Shri Rampal Maan ji and guest of honor, Ms. Priya Bansal. The day started with the lighting of torch followed by graceful and power-packed dance performances by our munchkins from class pre-primary to class V. The school premises was filled with cheers as the beaming faces of our sporty champs ran to win their positions in variety of fun and flat races. The event ended with an energetic grand finale and National Anthem.

We, at GD Goenka Public School, Sector-9, Rohini, believe that it is important to cater to the multiple needs of the students for their holistic development. On 31 January, 2019 and 1 February, 2019, the school conducted a Festival of Multiple Intelligence in association with Primary Plus. Various activities like Story Telling, Coding the Mouse, Osmo and Patterns, Pottery, Aerobics and Dance, Understanding 3D, Personality Development and STEAM Based Science were conducted to awaken the latent genius in each child.
On 11 January 2019 to celebrate the festivity of the new harvest season, our Goenkans observed the festival of Lohri. The students lit the holy fire to seek blessings for a good year ahead.

On 25th January, 2019 GD Goenka Public School Sec-9 Rohini family bid good-bye to the lovely batch of XII. The
students of Class XI put up a phenomenal show to make farewell memorable for their seniors. The event
commemorated with lighting of lamp followed by the words of wisdom by revered Principal ma’am. All the stunning
students of class XII were in awe seeing the sensational dance and music performances by their juniors and their
GD Goenka gives a lot of importance to a child’s health. On 22nd and 23rd January, 2019, the school conducted a
dental check-up camp where Dr. Mohit Luthra checked the Oral health of all the Goenkans.

January 2019, the Goenkans celebrated Republic day with a lot fervor and patriotism. The day started with hoisting
of our prestigious National Flag followed by a power-packed cultural show. The School echoed with energy when all
the Goenkans stomped Jai Hind in honour of our country.
