Wheels on Display - A visit to Heritage Transport Museum

Automobile lovers found a haven when they visited Heritage Transport Museum. The students of classes VI-IX travelled with bells on to Manesar on 9 February 2016 to behold the exhibition of cars and other vehicles. The excitement reached fever pitch as the learners quenched their curiosity about the cars old and new. The fast and furious wagons also gave a peep into cultures of different countries. In the words of one of the learners, “One car was the symbol of luxury as it cost the consumers lakhs of rupees for travelling a few kilometers. Such cars were used for wedding of the royals.” The thrilling exposition was followed by kite flying which gave wings to the ardor of the learners. A documentary “The Making of aircraft” was screened to enlighten the young minds. The eager beavers came home with carts full of memories.

Multiple intelligence Camp

“Real genius don’t love the most beautiful thing in the world. What they create is beautiful for them”

Anything that is worth teaching can be presented in many different ways. These multiple ways can make use of our multiple intelligence. Howard Garner’s theory of ‘Multiple Intelligence’ has largely catered to the broad spectrum of students all over the world. According to this theory, "We are all able to know the world through language, logical-mathematical analysis, spatial representation, musical thinking, and use of body to solve problems or to make things, an understanding of other individuals, and an understanding of ourselves.

The school organized a Multiple Intelligence Camp for the students of classes Pre-School to V in the school premises on 19thand 20th February. There were myriad of activities like story-telling, sand art, google doodle, dance, river crossing and many more. Learners had a gala time enjoying all the activities. Doing such physical and mental workouts led students to have a day off from the bundle of books which accompany them every day to school.
