Setting goals is the first step in turning the invisible into the visible

Each year we add new members to our family. It becomes our duty to make them feel at home. Orientation Day is one such platform where we meet with parents of the newly admitted children and orient them with the operations and regulations of our school.

An Orientation Programme was organized for the parents of Pre-school and new entrants on 24March 2017 from 6 p.m. to 8.00 p.m. This grand event was graced by the presence of Shri. Kulwant Rana ji, Ms. Anita Rana Ma’am, Additional session judge honourable Mr. Ramesh Singhal, Mr. Sanjay Yadav sir, the principal of G.D.Goenka Public School Vasant Kunj, and many other distinguished guests.

The objective of the programme was to appraise the parents about the vision and philosophy of G.D. Goenka. The senior students of the school acquainted the parents about the various achievements, activities and events that take place at G.D Goenka through a PPT Presentation and Talk Show with the Goenkans. The Principal Dr. Ragini Kaul oriented the parents about all they could expect at G.D. Goenka Sector-9. Win over the top

Victory belong to the most persevering…. Satvik Gupta of class IX has proved that mettle lies in perseverance. He has done everyone proud by clearing the Junior Science Talent Search Examination (JSTSE) , a science talent search exam for students of Class 9 studying in Delhi and a dream of many.

“We here at GD Goenka Sector-9 don’t teach the definition of success…..but the way to it. I have always believed in doing what I like….and this is what we instill in all our Goenkans….the only way to success is love what you do. We are proud of Satvik and this victory will be treasured for ever, ”quoted the elated principal, Dr Ragini Kaul.

Multiple intelligence Camp

"Real genius don’t love the most beautiful thing in the world. What they create is beautiful for them”
Anything that is worth teaching can be presented in many different ways. These multiple ways can make use of intelligence multi-faceted. The theory of ‘Multiple Intelligence’ has largely catered to the broad spectrum of students all over the world. "We are all able to know the world through language, logical-mathematical analysis, spatial representation, musical thinking, and use of body to solve problems or to make things, an understanding of other individuals, and an understanding of ourselves.
The school organized a Multiple Intelligence Camp for the students of classes Pre-School to VIII in the school premises on 21 and 22 February 2017. There were myriad of activities like Story-Telling, Sand Art, Google Doodle, Aerobics, Science Mania and many more. Learners had a gala time enjoying all the activities. Doing such physical and mental workouts led students to have a day off from the bundle of books which accompany them every day to school.

I-Smart Boot Camp

Since we believe in learning that occurs at all levels, the school organized an I-Smart Boot camp for the students of classes VI-X on 10 February 2017 where the school became an arena of multiple physical activities like, tug-o-war, egg ball, etc., the crux of which was learning to take up healthy team spirit and time management.  The learners went back with good memories and a realization that friends do not bring understanding but understanding brings in everlasting friendship.
The principal of the school quoted her views, “Whereas school applauds good marks…. such camps acknowledge and reward a wider range of accomplishments.”

The glorious crowned

Alert Knowledge services decorated our respected Principal ma’am Dr. Ragini Kaul with a very prestigious International award ‘100 Highly Effective Principals of 2016’ on 31 January 2017. She received the honor and worded her thoughts,  “Winning is a habit….unfortunately so is losing. In my case, failures have acted as a ladder to success and A self made woman is what I am today….who has always had a vision to practice the words of Nelson Mandela, “ Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world.” I have given30 years of perseverance towards my goal….and that is goal-keeping…..the challenges that come towards me.”

Goenka bids adieu to the 12thies with a heavy heart.

"Painful though parting be…..I bow to you as I see off the distant clouds."
With an aim to keep the spirit alive in the hearts of students and teach them the importance of traditions and legacy, G.D Goenka Pubic School, Sector 9 organized a farewell for the outgoing batch of class XII on 25 January 2017. The day began in great excitement and merriment as class XII students dressed up to their glamorous best and were given a grand welcome at the red carpet. With a shower of flowers and sweet welcoming words from class XI students, they were ushered in by the student council asking them variety of questions pertaining to their feelings and excitement for the day’s events.  The faculty and the students arranged for a lavish program for the 12thies.  The queens were excited to get their photographs clicked at the ‘Selfie Booth’ and felt elated as they experienced a sense of nostalgia already. The principal Dr. Ragini Kaul found it difficult to word her feelings as her melancholic voice made it quite evident. She expressed herself in the following words, "a child’s birth is the happiest day for a mother….whereas, his/her success is the most cherished one." I wish all of you success in the years lying ahead and may each one of you win hearts wherever you go….just like you did here.
